your guess is right. the fan is running. I took many pics of the fan, but the technology is so advanced that i got the same still every time. I wanted it look like running (like in old cameras) but i think Sony does not want it anymore.

Its running! Two blades look stationary but one of them, you could see that it is in the spinning mode. That happen to me one evening, I was playing around with my camera in my room and was taking pictures of my spinning fan. The picture came out as if the fan was not running!
